Oil Tank Replacement & Survey

We supply low-cost plastic bunded and non-bunded oil tanks for domestic and commercial properties, along with decommissioning and removal of old tanks and full installation of the replacement. Every job starts with a free survey: we'll look at your existing tank, its base, access for delivery, and where a new tank should sit before recommending anything.

Bunded vs non-bunded

A bunded tank is effectively a tank within a tank: if the inner tank fails, the outer bund contains the oil rather than letting it reach the ground. Current regulations require a bunded tank for most domestic installations, particularly where a tank sits near a watercourse, drain, or within a certain distance of a building or boundary. We'll confirm what applies to your property as part of the survey.

Why an old tank is worth checking

Steel tanks corrode from the inside out, often silently, and a split or pinhole leak can go unnoticed until oil has already reached the soil, a drain or a stream. Beyond the cost of lost fuel, you could face clean-up costs and legal action for contaminating a water supply. If your tank is old, rusting, or sitting on cracked or uneven standing, it's worth having it looked at before it becomes an emergency, particularly heading into winter when it's working hardest.
